To tell a story with words can be an uphill battle at times. Being a writer myself, I know the struggle all too well. If my own conflicts of narrative can be seen as a duel between two able combatants, writer and language, then Disasterpeace's "Atebite and the Warring Nations" could only be described as an epic battle across a flaming countryside, each warrior clad in shimmering armor and holding swords of gold, on horses of white they ride to their destiny unleashing vicious cries of valor as dragons sail overhead breathing hellfire and damnation. To tell a story with music...that is a TRUE feat of genius. To let the floating melodies and pounding rythms paint a picture of adventure and struggle, there lies the power to inspire the masses and move the mountains. "Atebite" achieves this as no other peice of music has. It will engulf the Earth in rapture, crushing injustice and evil and its wake.

Not merely electronic values, but a passionate and resonant real-life soundtrack. Too often reviewers use the word LISTENABLE to describe an overly accessible version of a style or genre; but this CD is extraordinarily listenable because it's so GOOD, and I could listen to it forever.

beyond chiptune, beyond plaid, beyond argyle! the genius within this work is unmistakable. this brilliantly crafted music takes melody and song structure on a journey into a distant land. another universe; the future nostalgic.
