I remember Ensis from the Heartcode comp. I remember looking up more Disasterpeace songs at the time and being disappointed because Ensis was my favorite from the comp, besides Get Pumped. but now, this album is awesome. really, it’s great. I didn’t even recognize Ensis by name, but as soon as I heard it I got even more stoked on this. I would buy this if I wasn’t currently in a free-music-only phase (sure the album’s not that much, but I have an addiction, if I buy one album I won’t be able to stop, and I can’t afford that right now). but I’ll buy it eventually! like I keep telling myself about Xoc’s non-free albums…

but anyway, this is really good! I hope to hear more like this one, even though it took so long to finish…

This feedback is pretty interesting. Honestly, I don’t quite see eye-to-eye with this extremely high level of praise… but I myself am not a longtime Disasterpeace fan like (evidently) the rest of you, so I don’t hold quite as high an opinion. For example, if a new Pixelh8 album suddenly hit, I would probably be far more excited and interested in it than the rest of the chiptune community would.

That’s not to say I think “Obsidian” is a bad album, of course; but I wouldn’t go quite so far as to declare it the best chiptune album ever made.

All things considered it’s a solid effort–I purchased it day one. Congratulations on the record, Mr. Peace–and good luck with future projects.
